2. Retirement- Kutta
My
retirement was not at my native place native district or even native state .
God has willed that I must retire in Kutta, Coorg District in Karnataka .
Kutta is
perhaps the most beautiful place I have ever worked . ; and a very peaceful
branch . I enjoyed my 18 months tenure
in Kutta very much - no tension , no pressure of work . At times I wondered whether I am getting
pay or pension
Of course
there were a few constrains –
very
heavy rainfall ,extreme cold, severe power cut water
shortage and so on.
But the beauty of the place overcame all these
constrains ,
Dense forest, sound of insects and birds
coffee estates, variety of colourful flowers which I have not seen far ,rich green
vegetation ,a magnificent waterfalls nearby – all these made me many a time
think that I am dreaming.
My better half chose to accompany me and so no food problem
And by
retiring at a strange place I could avoid the following:
Standing as
a customer in a branch I was heading.
Vexed
glances of customers who try to avoid me
30th
Nov was my retirement 2nd Dec I left Kutta – a pleasant journey
through Nagerhole National Tiger Sanctuary to Mysore by car and from Mysore to
Chennai by Satapti Express again a pleasant one
And by HIS grace I settled scores with a colleague in CO on
the day of retirement . It was just a
coincidence I think which I will narrate later
Let us meet next month
in next part
